PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 OUR UNSUNG HEROES

There’s a special place in Heaven,
For all the people who,
Made a difference in this life –
Princess Diana and Mother Theresa –
Just happen to be two.

They showed us just what it’s like
To love and give with glee,
And being in the public eye,
We really got to know them,
They were just like family.

But to all the unsung heroes,
We never hear about,
Who risked their lives for our sakes,
Or gave up time and money,
We ought to raise a shout.

To recognize that each of us
Has someone who’s gone on,
Who sacrificed to love us
More than once, when we were hurt
Or hungry or alone.

And yet they were just humans
Just like you and me.
Everyone can be a hero
For someone who’s in need.
Just look around and find someplace to be.
